Space 242 Freak Show
I went to the Golgol Bordello concert last night. What awesomeness, the crowd had so much energy. I also really enjoyed the opening band Devotchka . They have a neat old-timey looking website. Their music is very croony with a haunting quality, they remind me a little of something from Twin Peaks with a little bit of a dusty Carnivale feel.
Oh, sweet music.
Along the carnival gypsy theme, Space 242 will be having it's "Freak Show" opening this Friday.
They expect the gallery to be packed. In anticipation of this they have scheduled a second opening (with all the revelries of the first)
Friday May 7th 6-8pm
I recomend making it an afternoon of art and swinging by the Fort Point Art walk beforehand.

New Work at the FPAC Store
Last weekend after a nice lunch at Flour bakery, I dropped off some work at the FPAC store. It was a great weekend with lots of good food, sunny weather, fun and friends. I think I now have 4 original pieces at the store and about 10 prints.
The top image is "Uprooted"
"Warm Wishes" or "Red Shoes" acrylic on wood.
"Cold Feet" acrylic on wood.
"Ribbit" acrylic on wood

Show At Space 242 Opening
Below are some photos of the opening at Space 242. What a fun night! such great artists and people. The art was awesome. If anyone did not make it to the opening you can still check out the show Fridays until April 23rd. I have also posted more photos here.
Above is some of my work, the three piggies are mine as well as the big rat painting. The other pieces are by Christopher Lyles, one of my friends actually bought me and my fiance one of his pieces. Yay!
Above is a photo I took at a recent trip to the Harvard Natural History Museum. We had a early Easter Sunday breakfast at Mul's and then headed out to Harvard. What a perfect day. I think this little yellow guy is a great way to usher in spring.
-Happy Day!
